The French Apricot Galette? The Creamy Onion & Dry Sherry Puff Pastry Strip? Pastry Chef Nova Bevier is in the shop, so you ask, "What do you recommend for me today?" She eyes you closely. Moments later you sit at a table on the Bakery's porch with a steaming Peet's coffee and your Sacrastain before you. Some flakes of puff pastry and white icing float off your lips onto your sleeve, but you don't care. For one soaring moment, nothing else matters but you and your treat.
